Kathleen Puerling,
DVM
Dr. Kathleen Puerling fullfilled her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian when she received her DVM degree from
the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Puerling moved to the Michigan
City area in 1996 and opened her own practice in February of 2001.
In addition to a traditional veterinary practice, Dr. Puerling is
pursuing an interest in Homeopathy to better serve her clients who
desire alternative treatment methods. A true animal lover by nature,
Dr. Puerling also enjoys gardening, yoga, reading, line dancing and spending time with her young son on their farm.

Kathi - Receptionist
I am a native of Michigan City, happily married mother of 4. I have 2 dogs, a golden retriever and American Staffordshire, also a fat cat, and several tropical fish. I love my family, kids, dogs, God and my country. Maybe I should run for president-never mind I would have to quit my job and I love it here!

Tricia - Receptionist
I have been at the clinic since June 2005 and have enjoyed it the whole time. My knowledge of animals has increased as has my family. When I started here I had 1 husband, 3 boys, and 2 dogs. My 2 dogs multiplied into 4, my 2 had a litter of 9 puppies shortly after I started here and we kept 2 out of the nine; a male and female, everyone is spayed and neutered now (always a good idea to keep accidents from happening and we don’t want to be out numbered)!

I have worked in the animal wellness field for the past 8 years and previously completed my college work-study program raising over 300 penguins at Sea World of San Diego. I live with my husband Matt and son Trevor. I also have 2 "daughters", Kelsie a Lhasa Apso and Dingo a shepherd mix. When I am not working I like to watch my son race his motorcycle, I also enjoy photography and caring for my saltwater fish. |
